BACTRIM DS may be prescribed to treat urinary tract infections caused by the same virus or strain as an STI. However, the duration of treatment and the frequency of BACTRIM DS use should be determined by a healthcare provider based on the patient’s condition, age, and symptoms.
The most common side effects of BACTRIM DS are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, back pain, and diarrhea with or without fever. The most common side effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. These may be mild or severe.
